A Cat is Blind to That Which is Different

I'm a dog person. I work with dogs, I've grown up with dogs, I want dogs when I get my ranch one day. But cats are cool too. They're funny when they're LOLzed, I read them when they were in comic strips, and although I am prone to allergy from time to time when it comes to their large amounts of hair - they are quite soothing companions.

Hell, just ask Hellboy:

An executive of RyanAir, which is a low-cost airline in Europe, is filmed at about the 1 minute mark stating that the Business Class will feature something new. Then goes on to prove that Germans don't do it all.

New Discoveries: More Earths, More Crap...

ThePower-high.jpg Monday, 16 June 08 - 09:29 PM (GMT)
By Sasha Alexander Welland in General
Astronomers have found what they are calling "Super Earths". Larger planets than ours that harbor life and atmospheres, as ours does. Check it out. This is profound, as these other planets - which are quite far away - could be floating catalysts for life, with beings as early on in the life cycle as the Jurassic or as far along as the dark ages, or even further - flying cars, and telekinesis among the populace. Imagine if we showed up to these larger earths unexpectedly. If it were far back in the life cycle, we could be seen as aliens or time travelers. If the life cycle has surpassed ours on these Earths, maybe we can bring them a relic from our present, such as this crappy invention: Wedgie Proof Underwear.

Intelligence, perfection, and Fridays...

ThePower-high.jpg Friday, 13 June 08 - 06:00 PM (GMT)

First of all, it's a Friday. The week is over, and rest and relaxation await after a work week in which the 'shut-off switch' was desperately needed. Life begins once work ends, and as much as I would have liked to have spent the day in the movie theaters, and casually driving around the City of Angels, i'm here at the computer and desk, being productive - sort of. There's alot to look forward to: Sun, friends, love, car shopping, family, and fun. The fact that I am able to spend free time on these things, and not have to worry about my health and income, means I have reached the pinnacle of success. I realize now, a year before the numbers three and zero are labeled within my being, that success is not measured in a dollar amount, but a personal definition of happiness attained, which I believe has been bestowed upon me as you read this. Perfection, something I inherently try to capture, is truly in the eye of the beholder. That and what you see below (i've done it in a mere 25 seconds).

To spend emotional time on trying to be perfect, is a waste. Although it can bring about the attention to detail required to live an advantageous life, it can be mentally taxing as well. As intelligent people, we should strive to keep our wits about us, and an intrinsic happiness concerning all of life at the forefront of all that we do at all times. It is possible to be a little too happy though.

But if you have some time, get outdoors, and if you live in Los Angeles, take advantage of this beautiful thing we live near - the ocean!
